Shortage of qualified service personnel to assist you during schedule shut down and/or maintenance preventive activities
HOW CAE solves these problems:
CAE's way to assist you by supplying with not only the right quantity but also the right quality service personnel to meet the maintenance or shutdown activities by applying the following action plan:
Offer a customized maintenance programs specifically designed to meet customer requirements. Our approach to the maintenance program will be carried out on the following concept:
a) Classify all analyzers into 3 ranks as defined by the plant operation management, i.e. A being the most importance, B less importance, C as the least importance.
b) To decide the calibration frequency and overhaul interval in accordance with rank.
c) An overall month to month maintenance and overhaul schedule is then planned and worked out.
d) Each service personnel is assigned to their own dedicated area of responsibility to oversee and carry out the maintenance and overhaul activities, upon which a historical record of each equipment is established and maintained for future traceability record.
e) Organizing and consolidating instruction manuals and drawings as required. (each analyzer would have its ownlog book showing identification, calibration data and operational history).
f) To stock the spare parts in accordance with ranking.
g) To win the confidence of production by providing reliable Process Analyzer result that correlate to process conditions and laboratory readings.
WHAT causes these problems?
The most common reason why these "Problems" happened could be due to:
a) Shutdown work normally is carried out on short term basis.
b) Management philosophy on minimum manpower requirement.
c) Understaff due to not able to hire experience personnel.
